This post includes both facial and body care products, a brief overview of each and why I’ve been using them more diligently compared to other products in my routine.

1. Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Prep Water
Mandelic acid seems to be one of those underrated exfoliating ingredients, so naturally I had to try it out and this product was a popular choice.
About: A hydrating and mild exfoliant formulated with mandelic acid, to improve skin tone and skin texture while preparing your skin for other products.
My previous exfoliant from COSRX already raised my expectations of exfoliants so for some reason, this one turned out to be a bit underwhelming. It feels too mild and it stings a little too often. It also has not helped much with concerns like stubborn blackheads. Seriously, I’ve had some blackheads for forever and they still haven’t gone away! Still, I use it quite frequently since it’s mild and my skin can take it.

2. The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin + HA
In recent times, my dark spots have been proving really stubborn to treat so I make sure to include this product in my routine every single day.
About: A concentrated serum with hyaluronic acid and alpha arbutin to improve uneven skin tone and reduce the appearance of age spots and hyperpigmentation.
I’ve been using it diligently for a bit and although it has not faded all my spots, it has faded the ones on some areas of my face significantly, and improved the other areas. It can be really sticky though, and makes my skin feel somewhat tight minutes after application. Still, I hope I can see more results before the bottle runs out.

3. The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc
About: A serum with high concentration of Niacinamide (vitamin B3) to minimise appearance of pores and improve skin blemishes.
Products with Niacinamide are some of my faves but I’ve never actually used a Niacinamide serum. This particular one is a bit tricky to use as it pills terribly when I layer it with the alpha arbutin serum. However, it’s fine when used alone so I tend to use it less often compared to the other one. As such, I’ve not really noticed its effectiveness.

4. Gwang Skin Treatment
If you’ve used or heard of any of the PFB Vanish products, this one is right up your alley as an alternative.
About: A treatment that targets concerns associated with hair removal: ingrown hairs, razor bumps, dark spots, dark underarms, irritation and keratosis Pilaris. It contains exfoliating, brightening and soothing ingredients to effectively provide results you need.
I cannot boast of its overall effectiveness on brightening dark underarms as I’ve not really noticed any major changes yet. However, it did help a lot with the itchiness and irritation that sometimes occur with hair removal. With consistent usage, it should give more noticeable effects.

5. The Rami Brand Luxe Body Lotion
I do not use this as often as the others I mentioned above, but it deserves a mention since it’s new in my routine.
About: Body cream that helps to treat, correct and moisturise the skin with its brightening, soothing and anti-aging ingredients.
First impressions do matter because I loved the product packaging at first glance! It was definitely a good choice to upgrade to the new look. Because it’s a bit thicker than the usual lotions and requires some rubbing to fully get it in, I tend to reach out for it on the cooler/cold days. Still, I like how it feels on the skin after application.
