Sometimes, you just want to read a quick review on a product you’re curious about; that’s exactly what I’d be sharing for these COSRX Honey Glow Kit & ROVECTIN Starter Kit!

A) ROVECTIN Skincare Starter Kit
The kit includes travel-sized versions of three products from their Skin Essentials line and sachet samples of one other bestseller. It also includes the travel-sized version of the CICA Care Balm and a really cute skincare travel pouch.
1) Skin Essentials Conditioning cleanser
– A gentle low pH hydrating cleanser aimed to cleanse the skin without disturbing its moisture barrier.
– Contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid and other hyaluronic derivatives. It has a light coconut smell but personally, I think it’s more of a very nice fruity smell.
– It also has a runny lightweight texture which feels a bit oily at first, after which it lathers very easily. After rinse-off, it gave this smooth silky feeling and didn’t feel stripping at all✅.

2) Skin Essentials Activating Treatment Lotion
If you read my latest blogpost, this is one of those confusing products I mentioned; one with a name that differs from what it actually does!
– Basically, it’s a toner (& essence) aimed to hydrate and restore the skin’s moisture barrier; not a lotion at all!
– Contains 7 types of hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, panthenol, caffeine (to reduce puffiness), etc.; all in all, great ingredients!
– It sinks into the skin well, and leaves a supple feel, not to mention the nice (also fruity) smell. Sometimes it gives a soapy feel during application but that disappears afterward.
I love it! Initially, I got confused on what step to use it in my routine but I ended up using it like my @cosrx snail essence✅.

3) Skin Essentials Aqua Soothing UV Protector
– It’s a physical sunscreen with mineral UV filters, SPF 50+ and PA++++.
– Contains zinc oxide & titanium dioxide and it has an unusual smell, a bit similar to the CICA balm.
– It’s best suited for fair skin (or non-POC in general) because it leaves a very visible white cast for my skin color.

4) CICA Care Balm
– A balm to soothe and revitalize irritated and damaged skin.
– Contains calamine to ease irritation; the calamine is also responsible for the very faint pink color of the balm. It also has madecassoside to reduce appearance of scars and dark spots.
– I liked it because it has this nice cooling effect and I recently discovered that it could also help with dark spots.
– It has a slightly thick, creamy texture but spreads into the skin quite well, without feeling heavy. It also has an unusual smell but that doesn’t bother me too much.

3) Full Fit Propolis Light Cream
– A lightweight cream, infused with the Full Fit Pro Complex, formulated BY COSRX lab. It absorbs effortlessly for soft, supple skin texture and moisturizes deep into your skin.
– Contains 65.69% of black bee pro-police complex ( a combination of black bee propolis extract, honey extract, and royal jelly extract). These ingredients are known for their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Thoughts
The toner absorbs quickly into the skin, although the ampoule has a slightly thicker and runny texture but absorbs quickly all the same✅. The cream has a lightweight texture and also melts really well into the skin. It’s pretty much my favorite of the set.
Both the toner and ampoule had no scent but the cream had a faint gum-like smell.
Basically, I loved how the set hydrates and plumps up my skin, the word “elastic” even kept popping up in my head. It’s recommended for dry and rough skin but I’d say try out this set if you love a well-hydrated and plump skin!
